Revelstoke Grizzlies take home the Teck Cup

The Grizzlies beat the Ghostriders 7-1

The Revelstoke Grizzlies are champions once again.

On Tuesday, April 10, the Grizzlies took home the Teck Cup at the Fernie Arena in a 7-1 victory against the Fernie Ghostriders.

The City of Revelstoke is encouraging community members to come out to celebrate the team’s big win. To celebrate the victory, the City is asking people to wear Grizzlies colours, or wear a jersey and meet the team at 5 p.m. at the Gizzly Plaza.

In a press release from the City, it was stated that everyone is encouraged to “hoot and holler” as they check out the cup and meet the team.

Chief Adminstrative Officer and Grizzlies fan Evan Parliament said:

“This marks the third KIJHL championship title in the past four years. To me, this is a dynasty. Congratulations to Coach Novak, owner Ryan Parent and all the players who make Revelstoke proud.”
